   6 Through the collect command overdue loans can be \*Qcleared up\*U.

   8 If you should find that you have a problem debtor who refuses
   9 to pay up on your kind loan you can always seize one or more
  10 of his/her sectors.
  11 Perhaps the mere threat of a collection on
  12 someone's capital may do the trick!

  14 To settle up accounts on overdue loan #9 you would type:
  15 .EX collect 9
  16 The program would then ask which sector you would like to claim
  17 as just and rightful compensation for the outstanding debt.

  19 What sector do you wish to confiscate?
  20 .FI
  21 To which you reply with the coordinates of a sector owned by your
  22 debtor to which you are adjacent.
  23 Any adjacent sector includes any sector you have that borders the
  24 sector you wish to confiscate.

  26 The program then paws over the sector and assesses its value:

  28 That sector (and its contents) is valued at $2345.00

  30 If the amount you are owed exceeds this amount the sector
  31 becomes yours!
  32 If the value of the sector is close enough to the
  33 amount you are owed the debt is considered to be repaid.

  35 Any che in the area are left alone.  Thus, if the original
  36 owner takes the sector back over, the che would continue their
  37 battle against the original owner, not the new owner.

  39 In addition, ships, land units, planes and nuclear stockpiles are
  40 not collected.  Those remain the property of the owner of the sector.

  42 Standing military in the sector are reduced to 1 and he becomes the
  43 latest and greatest addition to your standing army.

  45 Mobility of the collected sector remains unchanged.
