   5 The demob command returns soldiers from the military
   6 back to civilian life.
   7 In addition,
   8 you have the option of placing the returning GIs
   9 into the nation's active reserve.
  10 The active reserve provides a pool of available military
  11 for a small salary (usually the same amount generated by a civilian)
  12 and provides for quick mobilization of military
  13 during a threat to national security.

  15 If <NUMBER> is a positive number, that many military will be
  16 demobilized in each sector, regardless of any military already there.

  18 If <NUMBER> is a negative number, military beyond -<NUMBER> will be
  19 demobilized in each sector.

  21 As a result of demobilization,
  22 and as a \*Qthank you\*U for serving their country in its time of need,
  23 a \*QGI Bill\*U is given to each soldier to the tune of $5 each.

  25 Troops can only be demobilized in sectors which have greater than
  26 60% efficiency, and only in \*Qhome sectors\*U
  27 (that is, not in occupied territory).

  29 When troops are successfully demobilized in a given sector,
  30 the number of new civilians is printed,
  31 and the number in parentheses shows the total
  32 number of military left in that sector.

  34 You have the option of placing civilians on active reserve.
  35 Civilians on active reserve can later be enlisted
  36 but you must pay them to stay on.
  37 Generally civilian on active reserve costs one tenth of what
  38 a military costs.
